Pałac w Czerniejewie

Pałac w Czerniejewie, usytuowany na północnym krańcu miasta, powstał w latach 1771–1780 (lub 1790) dla Jana Lipskiego według projektu Ignacego Graffa. Wcześniej prawdopodobnie znajdował się tam zamek. Pałac przeszedł liczne przebudowy, w tym w latach 1789–1790, które nadały mu klasycystyczny charakter. W 1800 roku dodano czterokolumnowy portyk z tympanonem, a wewnątrz powstała sala balowa oraz salon grota pompejańska.

Kolejna modernizacja miała miejsce w latach 1926–1928, kiedy dobudowano wschodnie skrzydło i połączono pałac z oficyną wschodnią. Podczas prac restauracyjnych w latach 1980–1983, połączono zachodnią oficynę z głównym budynkiem.

Pałac otacza park krajobrazowy (13 ha), pierwotnie francuski, a później angielski. Obiekt przetrwał II wojnę światową, choć wnętrza uległy zniszczeniu. Po wojnie służył jako dom dziecka, a obecnie funkcjonuje jako hotel i centrum konferencyjne. W 1997 gościł przywódców Europy Środkowo-Wschodniej. Pałac figuruje w rejestrze zabytków i jest częścią Szlaku Pałaców i Dworów Powiatu Gnieźnieńskiego.
