Muzeum Wojska Polskiego w Warszawie

Muzeum Wojska Polskiego, znajdujące się w Cytadeli Warszawskiej, gromadzi zbiory związane z historią wojskowości i Polski. Powstało 22 kwietnia 1920 roku z inicjatywy Marszałka Józefa Piłsudskiego, a pierwszym dyrektorem był historyk Bronisław Gembarzewski.

Muzeum zostało otwarte w 1922 roku przy ul. Podwale, a w 1933 roku przeniesione do budynku przy Alejach Jerozolimskich. W 1939 roku posiadało ponad 60 tys. eksponatów, ale wiele z nich zginęło podczas II wojny światowej. Po wojnie, w 1946 roku, muzeum zostało udostępnione zwiedzającym pod nową nazwą.

Obecnie oferuje stałą ekspozycję ukazującą historię polskiego oręża, w tym broń i zbiory z okresu średniowiecza. W 2023 roku otwarto nową siedzibę przy ul. Gwardii 4 w Cytadeli, kontynuując tradycję upamiętniania polskiej historii militarnej.
