Muzeum Budownictwa Ludowego - Park Etnograficzny w Olsztynku

Muzeum Budownictwa Ludowego – Park Etnograficzny w Olsztynku, założone w 1909 roku jako Dorfmuseum Königsberg w Królewcu, jest jednym z najstarszych skansenów w Polsce. Jego twórcą był dr Richard Dethlefsen, Prowincjonalny Konserwator Zabytków Prus Wschodnich. W 1937 roku, po decyzji o przeniesieniu ekspozycji do Olsztynka, rozpoczęto transport obiektów, zakończony w 1942 roku. Po wojnie, w latach 60., muzeum zaczęło się rozwijać, a w 1961 roku utworzono Park Etnograficzny jako Oddział Muzeum Mazurskiego w Olsztynie. W 1969 roku placówka stała się samodzielną jednostką. Obecnie muzeum zajmuje 77 ha, na których znajduje się 68 obiektów, w tym 13 przeniesionych z Królewca. W 2008 roku zostało wpisane do Państwowego Rejestru Muzeów.
